Deaf Ministry: During the summer of 2001, we submitted to the Lord's leading of starting the first Bible-Believing deaf ministry in Kharkov. Jesus used a great time of fellowship which we had in May in southern Ukraine with BIMI missionary Bro Bob Van Sant's deaf church Simferopol Baptist Church, at which John preached through a deaf interpreter and 2 folks accepted Christ as Saviour (see Deaf Ministry Pictures). The Lord Himself brought us our first deaf contact in August and it climaxed on September 30th when we held special deaf preaching services when Bro Van Sant's deaf deacon Slava had come up to preach for us and 5 deaf were born again into God's family. Presently, we've had 9 deaf receive Jesus as their Lord & Saviour, all of them staying in deaf church, and have had 4 deaf visitors. 2002 will be a year with greater blessings from the Lord, as He wills, as these precious new deaf believers grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
