Meet Nadezhda

Nadezhda, or Nadya, came to church services resulting from Saturday's Evangelism. Her apartment block is in the same area as Alla's and Natasha P's. She moved to Ukraine from Russia to be with her daughter & son-in-law. She rejected her early upbringing in the Russian Orthodox church and embraced salvation by grace alone in Jesus Christ alone at a primitive Baptist church in Russia.

Nadezhda is russian for "Hope". Sept 01

Women's Day

International Women's Day, March 8, is a largely celebrated holiday here in Ukraine. Nadezhda came to special services and was presented a flower.

New Years

Nadezhda at our New Year's Eve prayer service, where we sang, prayed, preached, ate & fellowshipped the New Year in. Then the church put on a large fireworks display. New Years 01/02

New Chairs

When Pastor Rick Baker's Faith Baptist in NC gave 75 new chairs to our church, Nadezhda came for special services to praise the Lord for such a blessing. Standing on the rightside, her brilliant smile says it all: the joy of the Lord!

Women's Day

March 8, 2001 all women at our special service were presented a flower in appreciation. Similar to Mother's Day in North America, this is a large European holiday.
