2 Friends

Alla (R) with Natasha (L) were reached during Saturday Evangelism, as they live in the same massive apartment block consisting of more than 250 units. Alla was Russian Orthodox by birth but found her way into the Russian 'baptist' church, where as a rare exception she actually got truly saved by God's grace. Aug 01

Joyful Me

Alla is naturally jubilent, adding flavor to our church body. After being expelled from the national 'baptist' church for wearing cosmetics & jewelry, she prayed for 3 years for a true Bible-believing church. God led us to her on Evangelism and for many weeks she would glorify God giving testimony of His answering her prayers in finding our church. March 02

Comfy Chairs

Alla joined us for a special mid-week service to celebrate the receiving of 75 new chairs given by Pastor Rick Baker's Faith Baptist in NC. Alla has chronic back problems and was greatly relieved to no longer have to sit on the hardwood benches we had constructed which only provided seating & no kind of back. Remember: our services are 2 1/2 - 3 hours each with little heat in winter, no a/c in summer.

I Love You Day

Our church celebrates gift-exchanges on New Years called "I Love You Day", separating gift-giving from the birth of Jesus Christ at Christmas. Alla presented to our family this stuffed potted flower. Alla most definitely has the spiritual gift of giving & has filled a vital role in our church body. Jan 02

Happy Birthday

Alla gave Bro John and Miss Luda chocolates for our birthdays. Her great joy in the Lord is based upon her freedom in Christ, being rescued from the traditions of men. The bondage which the national 'baptist' church places upon it's people is overwhelming and "making the commandment of God of none effect" by their traditions.

Good Bye

Alla joined others from the church in coming by our house to say "Good Bye" when we were forced to leave Kharkov in March 02. Pray for her, as our absence over the summer of 02 was very difficult on Alla.

Alla & Olya

Alla with her daughter Olya during a Bible service in Nov 02. Olya attended Children's Church for many months and is well-liked by our girls. Alla never questioned her salvation, but one day in December during a chronological bible lesson which Cathy was giving, Olya admitted that she herself had personally never been born again, but had only "come forward" to make public "confession" at the apostate russian 'baptist' union church. Trembling with fear of God's judgment, she clinged to Christ Jesus by faith and was saved! Now you see true joy in both Mom and daughter.
